Recommendations for interior roof lining repair - Brisbane

Roof lining in my car is starting to sag due to the heat in Brisbane. Any recommendations on where in Brisbane to get this done? Around south side CBD preferred. Cheers

Thanks, I had a look already as well but was wondering if anyone had recommendations or prior experiences with auto trimmers

    Same here.
I've pinged heaps of guys on-line and some don't reply, others say they don't do VWs.
Only managed 1 quote for $550.

On the VAG DIY facebook page a guy just did his own roof lining for $300. It looked time consuming but not complicated

$550 holy ****! I just did mine for $120 - $100 for some nice fabric and $20 for spray adhesive. With cheaper fabric you could do it for $70-80. It's a really easy job, it was my first time so I was a bit hesitant but it was a cake walk in the end. Did the whole thing in 2hrs. Have a go! The key elements are to buy stretchy fabric, like the stuff used to make gym wear - and a good spray adhesive. I tried Selleys first but it is useless. Sikabond is the way to go, 3-4 times better adhesion than the Selleys crap. Interior trim is easy to pop out to free the head liner panel, then just slide it out from the back. Use a brush to get all the decayed foam off the panel, cut the fabric to fit and glue it on.

I did my MK3 lining years ago. I spent more on the glue than I did the fabric and besides being a little fiddly with trim it was dead easy:

    Damn Headlining

    (I miss my Mk3 )

Mk3s are pretty sweet. Like the family dog, always does what it does without complaining and taken for granted until they aren't there any more! Mine is a gem, only 82ks on the clock. Just a GL but runs like a swiss watch and gets the job done

All vehicle upholstery in rocklea are good! $250! The problem with a mk5 is that they have heaps of **** you can break so I wanted to take it to someone. Mk3 is definitely a good diy! Took an hour for AVU to do the job and its in original fabric and looks great
