You would only use this on a freshly washed and dried car right ?
Thanks for all your help guys
Yeah. They've gotta be wiped over the surface, so if the surface isn't clean you'll just wipe all the dirt over the paint...scratchies!!

I use a wolfgang paint sealer which is a synthetic base which does contain silicone. It lasts alot longer ( about 6 months) . When i'm a little bored i do put a canuba wax ( p21s )on top for that added sparkle. The sealer is wax friendly so it's okay to put on multiple layers.
I did hear that silicone based products are a no no so i asked a paint shop. The answer i got was that paint doesn't stick to silicone however when it's rubbed back and the unrubbed areas are treated with prepsol so it removes the sealer so that the paint to stick. He did say that some paint shops are a little lazy and don't prepare it correctly , that's when the paint goes " dodgy".
Spray on and wipe is a waste of time if there is no prep work!.....so really quick detailer sprays to me is a no no
So prep for me is a plus for results
I dunno about that, I'm looking to do the big prep all clean monthly, and to keep it clean simply in between. Perhaps a quick wash and then a QD is the compromise. 20 minute job with a reasonable dry in the middle.
