Protective Film and Detailing

Hey all, I recently had the front end of my Golf resprayed (thanks to a lovely lady driving into it at a car park) which spured my interest in getting the front protected against stone chips etc.. I've seen some of the "Car Bra's" on cars and just thought that's as ugly as it comes, then i read on this forum that there were guys getting the front end 'wrapped'..?

So I read that some of you guys used Advanced Surfact Tech but they don't exist any more and instead they're called Compelte Sufrace Systems (Stone guard, Paint protection film, Clear bra, PPF film | Complete Surface Systems). I gave them a call and got a guy called Chris on the phone, he said that he has done many Golf's from the forums and was willing to offer me what he called the Full Kit (which when i looked on his website covers the front bumper, the lower part of the bonnet, fenders etc. and the mirror covers). He recommended this as the best value kit as most of the Golf's don't get too many chips further up the bonnet.

As he said I was a referal from the Forum and that he currently had a Winter Special on, he would do the Full Kit for $495 for me. So I guess I wanted to know, has anyone used them before and is that a good price..?

Also, since the front end was resprayed (only), he said he would be able to do a paint correction and restoration on the rest of the car as the front looks really nice and shiny and the rest of the car not so.. he was able to give me indications on price but said he'd need to see the car before giving me a final price. I did feel comfortable with this when he said he is a Concourse Paint and Panel judge but again, I'm not sure what that meant in the grand scheme of things either..

I've seen a mate of mine try it himself and he ended up pulling some of the paint off his front bumper.. not so sure I want to give it a go on a newly painted front end.. yeah I know.. soft but i'd rather be safe than sorry..
