    Hi guys,
I have never looked into paint protection/coating before but thinking of getting it this year for my R 7.5.
I know all the options from the dealers are crap but they offered my $995 for Paint Surface Coating from this new mob they use, Motor One. The stuff they use is called Protective and is nano ceramic and silica dioxide.
Is it too much in price? It's lifetime warranty but generally all the after sales stuff from the dealerships and rip offs so don't know.

Where is this Pomponazzi place so I can check it out?

    Cheers

Don't bother with Motor One, their terms and conditions are just stupid. You have to take the car back to them on a regular basis and they have to inspect it. There are so many exceptions that they will try and get out of any claim. Not worth the paper its written on. Stay away from the dealer offerings!

Yup dont do dealer protection its crap and a huge mark up for them
Check pomponazzi website for approved appliers
There are 2 in vic i used divine detailing
Dont forget paint correction is in addition to the coating cost with all applications
If its 2 much check opticoat or quartz coatings
I went with pomponazzi because it looks better on bright paint like my tornado red its like i got it resprayed in a deeper/glossier red but it costs lol

If your getting the blue it will be worthwhile looking at pomponazzi it will be so deep you could swim in it

Grey or white... it will protect but the dull colours dont pop as much irrespective of which coating you get

    Hey guys

1 month update on pomp protection

1st 2 bucket wash this week easy as been washing with pressure wash 1 or 2 times a week as car at work sits in a dusty carpark with over 150 trucks driving in and out all day get covered with fine dust everyday

Easy to wash and still looks like new beads fine and still has that deep gloss look even under all the dust
Bird poo comes off easy as just a spray with pressure wash or a quick wipe with wet microfibre towel(if presure wash not avalabile)

Will post some photo's tomorrow as it bucketed down rain just after i wash and shammy dammit

I will try and keep this thread updated for a long time with 3 to 6 mth updates as i was vry frustrated when looking for protection coatings as nobody has any good long term report's hope i can help some others who are in the same boat
