in between the wheel spokes are dirty, look as though they've just had a quick pressure hose on them. Is that water dots i see on the bonnet?? basic wash is certainly right!

i cant believe he only vacuumed your floor mats....WTF? at least your rear window and tailgate is clean though .

i suppose you get what you pay for but to be honest, you paid for a vacuum, clean and wax.....take it back and get what you paid for, not a half arsed job. sorry if it sounds harsh but its true.

got any pics of the whole car?

right.............the roof......WAS WAXED...the amount of elements stuck to to the roof how ever would make it feel as if it has not been waxed. The wax will also still work but just for not as long.....

The seats WERE vacumed.....If you miss a peice of hair here and there...Its not a big deal...It is a wash and vacume...It is not a full detail.........

I never miss brake dust and its seems its skipped my eye and i apologise for that.

The inside of the wheels i leave for full details.

    The front bar was waxed.

There is no water spots on the bonnet.

The inside of door trims where the pocket so to speak are, alot of the time are jammed up with junk....Which was the case.....There for its not going to hurt to leave them.....If you take stuff out and put it back in dust and stuff is going to go back in with it anyway.

Wash and Vacumes are $60 and $120 with polishing but being a first timer i thought i would be nice.

Also people need to realise there is a difference between wash and vacs and full detailing.

I wiped over the door trims. Sometimes you find that after you have vacumed and stired up dust and dirt it can settle on the dash and door trims...Its a fact of life........

There was no ripping off here.........so have some respect

In my opinion, $60 is a serious bargain for a wash and wax.
OP - you should have asked what the basic service entailed so you could customise it to suit your needs.
I don't see that Glenn did anything out of line, and the review (and subsequent comments) seems a bit unfair.
If you really were pedantic, you would have gone for a detail, not a wash and wax.

I think you got exactly what you paid for, and at a good price too.
Especially putting it into perspective with the average call out fee for most home services is $40 and up.

I paid well over $400 to have light bore water marks removed from my wife's car just a week ago (which was a lot of elbow grease chased up by a glaze of some sort so I don't have to wash it as often). That was on-site in the CBD, not in my driveway at home. The car looks amazing, and I don't have a problem with how much it cost, because it would have taken me over a weekend to do it.

What does your full detail cost Glenn?
and what are the products that you're using? (some of us are pedantic about that sort of thing!)
I'd also be curious to know what your full detail involves - eg clay/wheels off etc?

Claying is envolved in a full detail yes. Unless it is a newer car that may not need it.

Ultimate Detail: Exterior of car thoroughly washed, Wheels and tyres cleaned and dressed. Interior dash, doors trims, centre console cleaned and dressed to your preference. Seats shampooed or Leather cleaned. Roof Lining cleaned. Glass cleaned for maximum clarity. Exterior of car is then polished to restore life back to your paint. Your paint in then sealed with a sealant to lock in the shine and add protection and depth.

    Small Car:$170 Sedans/Wagons:$200

Ultimate Detail Machine Polish: All the features of the Full Detail but machine polished. Machine polishing removes deeper swirls, scratches and markings that polishing by hand can not and restores life back into your paint. You then choose whether you would like a wax or sealant applied to your paint to lock in the shine and add protection and depth. (Single Stage Cut)

    Small Car:$190 Sedans/Wagons:$230

Engine Bays:$40, prices may vary depending on condition.

    Full Interior:$130

    .................................................. ..........

$400 for bore water removal? I really hope your joking as i can get rid of bore water in around 30mins for alot less than that.

I use all sorts of products.....Meguairs (average), Mothers, TurtleWax, DoDo Duragloss, P21s, Autosmart, Poorboys, Pinnacle, Clay Magic, Fireglaze, Wicked, Stoners, Optimum, Menzerna.......I have alot of stuff........

    Heres some work.

    hi glenn!

sorry i didn't mean to make it sound like it wasn't good. like what i said in my post, i AM happy with the car. thanks for clearing up that the roof was waxed. i'm a newbie to this all and when i wax my car i use the same product throughout so it just feels the same for the whole thing for me. so when i touch the roof (and the car plate area in the front) and it feels different, i just assumed it wasn't part of the package.

and no there weren't water spots on the bonnet at all, the under of the side mirrors weren't wiped down, or maybe it was water that was trapped between the mirrors so when i zoomed off, it left a trail on the driver's door which i had to wipe down.

i really like that the bumpers are blackened, cos when i waxed the car myself, i left marks on it and i've been trying to get rid of it since but somehow, i always fail

anyway, thanks glenn, will be in touch!

    Glenn,

    are you NOR?

Can you PM me your contact details...I have a BMW 325ci which needs a major detail...leather seats need some spruicing up and some idiot (that'll teach me to stay away from cheap car washes) washed it with one of those broom type things so got one or two little scratches and swirls on the bonnet.

    cheers
