    Hi guys,

i'm in the process of geting some paint protection for my DPB 07 R32. i live in Brisbane so i tought maybe something with UV portection in it? (i seriously have no idea) does anyone know the best sort of paint protection i could go for? i'd heard of Opti coat and GtechniqC1. has anyone had experience with these products?

    any help would be appreciated.

so if anyone is interested, i found out this stuff called quartz liquid glass coating. i'm thinking of getting it done to mine soon.
its the best on the market. only 2 places i know do it. it's better than opti-coat and all that other stuff that's on the market for the price. it has a 3 year warranty on it, but boasts a 7 to 10yr lifespan.

Check out this website for more info on it.

    Hi Mark,

We have heard of that coating and it is pretty good - and we have tested a lot of Glass/Quartz Coatings.

However there is no way at all that will last 7-10 years on a car in Australia - (nothing will) and it is not the best on the market.

It also depends whether you are looking to apply a protection sealant yourself or have a professional do it for you? There are different products available to the 2 markets with some of the best and longer lasting being reserved for professional use.

Let us know if you want more information.

i can repect what you are saying, and can see where you are coming from, but i'm only regurgitating what i was told by someone who seemed to know what they were talking about.

    No problems

There is a huge amount of 'over-hype' and b/s in the auto industry - take it from us with over 8 years of trialling well over 1,500 products - what they say they do and what they really do, are 2 different things.

If you are looking for a quality coating 1-2 years is good, 2-3 years with proper maintenance is great.
