    NSW RTA Plates for Jetta.

Doing a search on the RTA site, and for $430.00 per year and a one off fee
of $30.00 you can get the slimline, blue ,red or white plate with Jetta.
Would love the Blue slimline for my blue graphite jetta but not at that price
    per year.

Yep, NSW RTA plate prices are dodgy. Especially when they vary so much depending on colour, style and content.

I wouldn't mind so much if there was a large price tag with no annual fee. Afterall, what cost is there if I have a different plate after it's made up.

You can get some interesting combinations if your creative enough. I've noticed the least used combinations are the 2 letter 2 number 2 letter combination. You can make some realy realy awesome plates with it, try something like JE 77 AA, or MY 05 JT, or MAD 20T, there alot of fantastic combinations out there, I was going to get PA 55 AT, which was until a few days ago available, It was too late when I checked again...

    My dad wasn't happy hahaha...

Also note those in white plates are around 90 a year or something not very expensive, so it pays to be creative!!!

Good luck with the plate hunt!

hmmm, i got mine for $450 in WA, with 9 letters max made out of polycarbonate, slim on the front and standard on the back. you pay nothing per year, you buy these and they are yours. I had the option of getting the standard metal plates for $230ish.
Sounds like you guys are getting ripped off

RTA nsw is a registered bussiness, and you now know why... Its ridiculous. Well, sydney is highly populated and the RTA is just making the most of it. I'm never paying 400 a year for plates bah!

You know where to stick it RTA...
