New Golf - Do I need to polish?

Hi guys. Received my products in the mail, all expertly packed and as described.

Communication from Greg was fantastic, and he even went as far as tracking my order for me to find out when it arrived. All in all an excellent purchasing experience with Car Care.

A couple of final questions before I hit my pride and joy with the Dodo Juice (and God willing cause no damage to the paint)...

After seeing what mates did to their cars with cheap supermarket brand polish I'm allergic to abrasives... Will the Lime Prime cleaner leave a white build-up between panels like polish?

Nope. It has micro abrasives but you cant do any damage with them. You shouldnt be using so much that there is excess to go in the panel gaps.

Do I need to tape up my rubber seals when using the Lime Prime?

Dodo dont recommend to use it on trims but i have machine applied it to rubber to see what wopuld happen and it made them blacker so dont worry.

A couple of members have mentioned that the 303 can leave blotches unless buffed back, can I do anything to prevent this if I'm applying it by hand?

Just Mickey cause he didnt listen to instructions When you apply it fold your microfiber in half then half again so its a square. Spray 3 or 4 sprays on one side, wipe over the trim. Then turn the cloth over and buff up the area to absorb any excess

Is it safe to use the 303 on leather (like the steering wheel and handbrake wrap)?

Yep. 303 is safe on leather. But i dont recommend using it on the steering wheel just in case it gets makes it slippery. Put it on the handbrake wrap though

Haha yeah I have to call my bad on that one. The way I do it now is to remember not to go overboard with the spray, even though the cloth doesn't look wet enough, and buff it off within 20 seconds. 3 or 4 sprays is fine for about a third to half a dash I think.

That's prabably still slightly to much. That amount should so the whole dash

My 2c on the Born Slippy. You will need to re-wash the car after using it as when it dries it leaves a film. If you are Lime-Priming (Lite or not) this may be different but I haven't used Lime Priome yet. I just know the car needs a quick wash again after Born Slippy lube for the clay bar before a wax.

Clayed again on the weekend, the black Golf AND the silver Liberty. A hose off will remove the residue from the Born Slippy effectively, no need to re-wash.

Both need a 2-stage polish. The Golf clearcoat has etching from bird crap, possum crap (one lives in our garage) and water marks. The Liberty has never been polished in 4 and half years and needs a freshen up. I'm tempted to buy the kit and DIY as it will be cheaper then getting 2 done professionally (plus I get a new toy!), but I'm not too keen.
