Why the hell would it feel like crap after you treat it?
Its a transparent liquid that doesn't change any feeling of your fabric or leather. If it did, i am sure it would be readily known that it'd cause issues with fabric.
No offense, just sounds a bit ridiculous thats all.
We have it in the MK6 GTI on the upholstery, on my S3 leather/carpets/floor mats, the passat as well and i even use it on my camera bag and other items.
It does not affect or change the fabric/upholstery/trim whatever you want to call it at all. You cause more harm by pants/jeans with buttons and zippers than anything else to fabric & leather!
^ This. I would have been surprised if it had affected the material, particularly being a Nanolex product. Good to hear another positive review - especially knowing how well looked after those two cars are.
I've seen water repellents in action, there was a segment on some show that Richard Hammond did last year, and it was quite amazing what can be achieved. I'm guessing aspects of that technology are now appearing on items like the new Samsung phones as well.
I've received the spray yesterday and will likely apply on the weekend and report my findings then.
I plan on picking some of this up over the weekend just for abit of protection on the seats !
I've now (finally) run a test of this and, not surprisingly per fuzion's own summary, it seems to work well with no residue. A slightly more detailed summary with a couple of pics can be found here in the Mk7 area: http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...ml#post1060052
