    Mothers Portable Wax Attack

I've just bought 'myself' a Father's Day gift - a Mothers Portable Wax Attack kit for $99/ at Repco. I've searched around and its RRP is at ard $150/.

Just wondering if anyone bought one and used it before? I'm going to do a full top deal (wash, clay, polish, wax) tonight on my R36.

I've had my eyes on this product for some time now! Let me know what you think!

I'm just wondering if the battery lasts long enough? Is it a fixed speed polisher?

It comes with 2 batteries. I've bought it as well, it is a great value but there is 240 volt version of it I bought earlier, which is better IMO.

I didn't end up doing it yesterday. Too much good movies on TV
Anyway, it was mentioned somewhere before that a battery can take 2 coats of wax on a car which is pretty god imo but I cannot confirm that yet till I try it.
It is an RO type which I reckon helps in the time taken to polish & wax the car. The battery version for me is a plus point as I don't have a power point in the garage where I park in the basement. When I bought it, the salesperson also mentioned that a lot of ppl have been grabbing this on offer.
Repco is having 20% off everthing not on discount right now if you need anything for your car. I bought a bottle of RainX for $8.

Save your money. They are plain marketing and are terrible in my opinion.

Your car should realistically only need a "Polish" (as in paint correction) once a year or 2. If you had your car properly sealed with a good product like a Polymer, Nano or Acrylic Sealant it would out do Mothers in looks, durability and quality in my opinion.

Mothers vs say ... duragloss, dodo juice, swissvax, autoglym, 1z, gtechniq, nanolex, zaino etc just doesn't compare.

You are better off with something else IMO. Sorry to burst your bubble, just wouldnt want you to buy something that isnt that great.

And it is NOT a polisher. A polisher is not that weak lol
    What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

Yer I picked up that on the deal, however I've found that the battery life vs charge time isn't great, so it's now in the back of the workshop.

I've now got the mains version, heavier but at least it keeps going.

Ah, well, at least you can use the content. I bought it purely for polishing slightly faded headlights, because it is cordless.

I managed ok with using 1 battery for my car. The charging is definately long but no issue for me as only leave it overnight.
