Hi,

Someone has decided that their process of parking requires touching surrounding objects. From which I now have a lovely couple of marks. Sadly, the black plastic under the Tornado Red coat does not match and I am going to attempt to use touch up paint sourced from VW Oz to correct

Here are the photos.

Gently running my finger over the marks I can feel a defined ridge where the paint ends.

Here is my current thoughts.

Firstly - after watching AMMONYC do a stone chip on his own 911 - reference I am going to following basically similar process

1. Wash
2. 2000 or 2500? grit wet/dry on the end of a pencil tipped rubber (watch video and it makes sense) to take the edges off the paint around the chip
3. Wax (protect the paint from over spill
4. Alcohol wipe the actual area where the pastic is exposed. I.e remove the wax from that area as this is where I'll lay up the paint using cotton bud tipped ends for complete control and minute cleaning of the area. this leaves wax on original paint to protect from over spill.
5. Mix equal parts of colour and clear coat onto a clean surface (plastic dinner plate)
6. use a match stick to lay up the paint
7. dry - remove wax from bodywork (which should remove any paint on that area which may have crossed over - remembering it has a layer of wax protecting it from step 3
8. lightly sand
9. repeat until touched up area is level with original paint
10. cutting compound to remove scratches introduced from the 2500 wet/dry.
11. wax and seal

expected process - 5-10 days

Now - i think this is easy if the surface is flat, and not on edges like I've got.

What are peoples thoughts?

Or for something like this, just HTFU and leave it be?
