Liquid Wax vs Hard Paste Wax

    Hi

I tried looking for any mention of liquid wax and can't find any so I'm asking the question here.

Is there any difference? A friend has given me his Mothers Liquid Carnauba Wax. I've always used a hard paste, but is liquid waxes any inferior? It is a lot easier to apply though.

Its completely up to you. Most people tend to prefer and sick to hard paste wax and you could say maybe you get a thicker/more even coat vs liquid as its a higher concentration level of wax, but thats also dependent on the product.

I would recommend from your signature to move away from a wax and go synthetic to give you a bit more gloss/wet look to the CW paint.

Duragloss 601 + 105 combination will give a very wet/glassy look and would be much better suited in my opinion than a wax for a white/silver coloured car..

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to try and finish at least half that bottle of Mothers wax and then make some real proper quality purchases from your website. Was just wondering if there was still any special discount codes for VWW or VWGolf forum members?

Couple of quick questions CCP - what's better on Candy White, Duragloss 105 or 111. Paint is in very good condition, washed weekly and not exposed to elements too much.
and other vehicle is Shadow Blue - is the Durogloss combo suitable for the darker colours? If not another synthetic option? Paint and vehicle exposure conditions much the same. 6 months between applications - half that of wax - is just a bonus, so don't mine the workload.

I am wondering the same thing. I read on detailing forums that 105 is a newer formula and contains cleaners along with the sealant, whereas others swear by the older 111 formula which has much less cleaner and is more of a pure sealant. CCP website sells the 601/105 as a combo pack but not 601/111.
