You'll find what the dealer applied is long gone. I'd clay, polish (if need be), then apply a wax or sealant of your choice.
Waxes generally last 2-3 months and sealants anywhere from 6-12 months.
When i bought my Gti i had the x pack paint protection done, my friend had a m3 with unknown brand done and it seemed ok.
Now background, i've had a vx commodore i bought new in red and once a year i've always by hand buffed it sealed it and waxed it with mother's california gold system and car looks great but oxidise's over the year. I've just done this again but this time for first time i clay bar'd the car first(massive difference to grit feel when polished) and used meguire's ultimate compound to clean then mother's fx syn wax car probably looks best ever and no swirl marks. I had planned to carnuban wax on top of that but looks so good now and ran out of time so not done.
So with that in mind is why i got x pack, but now after 1 1/2 years i feel it's not looking as good as it could or beading as well as it use too, question is can i do similar over top of it or not?
Main reason i ask is someone scratched car and when attempting to fix seems to have left area not looking as good and i wonder if it's a reaction with the x pack product.
I've already read the x pack thread on here but had no info in this regard.
