Just keep in mind PlastiDip is even harder to keep clean and looking good than matte or satin.

Thanks for the advice guys, some varying ideas about whether to do it or not. I hadn't thought about keeping it clean, I guess theplastidip might be an option for reversibility sake. Can anyone tell me how much plastidip would be required to do a mkvgti? Given that its already black.

Upon reflection, here's what I would do if respray's cost 'fa'.

    Buy a MK1/2/3
    Pick a more desirable/less common/less bogan/more OEM paint choice.
    Respray it.

I don't want to come off rude here but that's gonna cost me more than just a respray on a car I don't have to buy?
