    How obsessive are you?

I bumped into an old school mate the other day and was suprised/delighted that he owned an R32. Conversation about our respective Golfs soon lead me to revealing that I take the wheels off my Mk6 GTI to clean the brakes and inside of the rims... However, my school buddy upped me by saying he POLISHED the inside of his wheels - to help stop brake dust from sticking to the rim...
So, what do you do to your Golf to pamper it?
    Can you top that?
    Cheers,
    Cam

Obsessive... Hmmm - my babies get the best of everything...
But how obsessive is the individual...
I have the VW logo tattooed on my back
Has anyone else gone this far??

What, are you saying that this is not normal? How else do you keep them clean?

If you really want to see obsessive try this link: VxrMarcs 3 month Nurburgring Detail... - Detailing World

If you have not seen it before its about a guy into detailing and the 3 month process of doing up his limited edition vrx vaxhaul (opel/holden) astra Nurburgring.
Note it is a very long thread with lots of images but now has sections at the top that you can load.
FYI he has now sold this and bought a Ford Focus RS and the process begins again. Its impressive but absolutely obsessive!

wow. that's awesome, and nuts at the same time. I know it's appalling, but i just give the car a squirt with the pressure washer every now and again, i drive so many km's in a week - at least 500-600 - that it gets dirty again really quickly, so i can't be bothered unless it's for a photo shoot or sale or something.

My partner has a bunch of ferrari washing/polishes and stuff which he imports to use on his ducati, but it takes so long to do an entire car!! 2 hours at least just to do a bike properly.

I bet you the Menzerna polishes could do better off a Festool machine on a whole car in an hour!!

Obsessive...Yeah. I've clayed, polished, cleansed and sealed the insides of my wheels before. I've scrubbed wheel arches and underneath the car back to white. I've taken black textured trim off, clayed polished and sealed the paint underneath it and put the trim back on, and I'm currently contemplating a new floor carpet so as dirt/sand can be vacuumed out of it easier.....

    I'm getting there.
