Help with Fusion Protection Pack Aftercare

    Hi Guys,

I was hoping you could help me out. My VW dealer accidently applied their "Fusion protection pack" to my new car. While they didn't charge me for it I have been given very little information about the package (and care kit removed) other than a small card in my car that said not to use any cleaning agents for 72hrs.

I was wondering from a car washing point of view what the effect (if any) of shampoos or other cut and polishing/waxing products may have on the paint protection applied.

I would appreciate any advice from anyone who may be familiar with this or similar products.

    regards,

    Fun

Glad you didnt pay for it! Dealer supplied paint protection is typically rubbish. If i were you, i would forget anything is even on there and wax or seal yourself. You can use an all purpose cleaner to help strip the pack but otherwise you dont have to do anything special as long as you dont intend to rely on it.

It does not need to be complicated.

    Using a good quality:

    - Wash shampoo and mitt is the most important (no dishwashing liquid and crusty old sponge).

    - Wax or sealant not only protects your paint it makes it easier to clean.

Have a chat to Car Care Products, they will guide you in the right direction.

CCP also have some great instructional videos on their website which should help.
