    Headliner material

Anyone know where to get foam backed synethic suede locally?

Or any Sydney-based auto upholster that can do it with good workmanship at a reasonable price

I did the headliner in my MK3 and just used a thick polar fleece type material with no foam. Came out looking more OEM that the stock one did (at least in my mind).

I wouldn't be too worried about foam backed, if you're really keen just put a layer of soft material down first, then attach the suede to that. Although I suppose you are putting in an extra point of failure with a second layer.

    Damn Headlining

Spotlight sell car apholstery material, comes in black or grey and has the foam backing.

From the email reply I received, Spotlight seems to no longer stock foam backed fabrics.

Regardless, I know it's a PITA to get most 3M products domestically and couldn't help but notice you went with Permatex Headliner spray. How's it holding up? Is your car always parked in the shade?
