No, it has UV protection. I'd just re apply it every 6-12 months, preferably before summer.

Mothers Plastic Polish is supposed to have polymers in it which would protect the light. So no you wouldn't.
Edit: Sorry didn't see Transporter's post.

how does the sealant get applied? by hand or machine? do you let it dry/haze then wipe off?
I am using the sealant from the Menzerna sample pack - Car Care Products / Menzerna / Exterior / Polish - Cleaner/Wax / Sealing Wax

By the way, I did mine today in between suspension frustrations and here are the results.
I wasn't overly attentive with making sure the previous cuts' lines and marks had been taken care of before moving on the next grit, but it appears to have worked. I now think I might have better than 1 candle power headlights

Good effort Dyldo! The sealant can be hand or machine applied in your case. It depends on what sealant you use. For sealing wax you let it haze then buff it off.

I sealed it with this stuff:- Car Care Products / Menzerna / Exterior / Polish - Cleaner/Wax / Sealing Wax

Does it have UV protectant so the yellowing won't happen?

I think I realised my blunder - I didn't re-wash between polishing and sealing. As the car hasn't been driven, can I do this now?

If your using that stuff then you dont need to rewash between polishing and sealing. It has cleaners that will remove the oils and leave a wax behind. Yes it has UV blockers but its not that long lasting. Something purely synthetic like Duragloss 105 or 111 or Finish Kare 1000P Hi-Temp paste wax would be better suited
