Pretty much. Wet+Dry is very durable. You'll notice when it loses it's 'bite' as the abrasive wears off.
Great write up Dan.. By the way, i've had good success with Autosol on lenses that aren't quite that far gone. :)

so after you have applied the sealant, must it be reapplied at intervals? or is it on for quite a while?
Or you could also use Mothers Plastic Polish. I use it with good success on headlights which are turning yellow, it removes minor scratches very well, just polish it like it was paint. Of course if you have a lot of scratches in the lens, wet and dry sand paper first would be the only way.
Im not sure what these light covers are actually made of but in the bus/coach industry with the Denning coaches
the front corner section windows were curved perspex and these would get scratched easily from the wash brushes and
after a few months hard to see out of, the fix was to polish with Brasso which has a slight grit feel when applying
I always thought something with more grit would make the work much quicker though.
Ordered a MicroMesh kit and in under 48 hours i have it in my grimy little hands :) AMAZING service and very appreciated.
man does this look good too - i didn't realise but each sanding sheet (whilst not massive in size) is not paper but more a material like canvas. Very looking forward to doing a Bore headlight reso - with pics of course.
If i used the Mother's Platic Polish kit, then would I still need to seal the headlights with a product like Z2?
