Thumbs down Guttered a Golf GTI rim, anyone had them repaired?

So I broke my heart the other day by guttering a rim (first time in 5 years!) . Nothing major, just gutter rash. Has anyone had the Austin's repaired and/or do you think it's worth it?

    Yeah,

I did the same to my detroit rim a few years back.

Wheel solutions in Melbourne repaired it perfectly. A light machine, then re-seal it. You can't tell it's repaired.

    Cost $200.

I'm looking to do the same, for the detroits 18" my12 oem gti wheels need to be machined so I've narrowed it down to Cnc wheels condell park as its the closest to me.
The guys on the facebook have recommended:

    1. Dent perfection castle hill.
    2. The wheelman
    3. Bodytech (castle hill)

Magman in punch bowl. My dad stuffed one of my wheels during the 20 mins he drove my car. Looks brand new now. Highly recommended.

How much was it. Was it stayed or machined?

had mine given to me-due to guttered out to the max-..sanding /filler/prime/sanding/ paint/alcohol/wet rub/paint- works wonders and did I mention sanding,if not yeah sanding...cost 2-3 cans dupli paint 6 sheets of various papers and time-less than a hundred-mostly time.
end result-good-but set up for ease of fix up if happens again-satin black.

Have seen Wheelman in Sydney repair them.

Looks perfect on first impression but at an angle you can tell it loses its slight mirror finish. In all fairness to them they warned it would be the case.

Given its a pretty common / recognisable rim I'd check carefully with whoever you use on their experience and what outcome to expect.
