    Hi All,

So my sister drove my 2 week old GTI and she guttered the front left rim when she was pulling to a stop on the side of the road.

I was wondering what the best repairer will be in Sydney. Also is it hard to repair considering the finish of the detroits? Thanks

Did a great job on my scratched wheel a few months back - sandstone curbs do a bit of damage - $100 and 3 days later, looked brand new

Has anybody else had their detroits repaired with a good outcome?
I have the same problem (gutter rash) and the 3 places I've been to in Adelaide reckon they can't 100% fix them - even Extensive Wheel services who are well known for a good job here in Adelaide.
Only other option is a new wheel ($900 - $1000) or insurance claim.
    Any ideas anyone???

Arggghhhh....I'm having bad luck with this car. Almost got side swiped this morning. Had to swerve out of the way to avoid it. Ended up scraping the left from rim along the gutter. Pretty decent damage.

You guys reckon its repairable? Not sure where to go...

    Appreciate any help!!

I've heard good things about who DeanB recommends:

Having said that, because of the finish on the Detroits, a few people (not in NSW) have been reporting issues getting them repaired "as new". See how you go though

Thanks coreying...gave them a ring, will bring it in at lunch time to get them to check it out, see if they can even fix it. Not too far from where I work.

I assume they only need the wheel, and not the full car right? Can they put the spare on for me so I can drive the car still while they fix it?
