CT18 truck wash does the trick - follow the instructions and make sure you give it a polish afterwards.

Caste your mind back a couple of years to a Mercedes add when a Buddhist monk was driving his Merc through a hail of bugs and was swerving everywhere? If you are a Buddhist, it is one of the top five things to live by(good karma) not to kill living things. Easy answer(with tongue firmly planted in cheek) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a problem. I drove out of Perth couple of months ago and when i got back i had a lot of bugs stuck to the front. I was very tired to wash the car straight away so i put it in the garage and went to bed. I was driving my 4WD for the next couple of days and i forgot to wash it.
I got to washing about a week later and i could't get the bugs off. I didn't want to buy any waxes/polishes coz i have no idea how to use them.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how i can get these off my car?

hmmmm, seems like people use different things for this. I tried scrubbing but it didn't work, so i guess i'll have to use som kind of product. Anyway, thanks for your help everyone

Hey balkanac, I use Goof Off (from Bunnings) to get rid of stubborn residues. It's not very corrosive, just need to follow the instructions on the bottle. If first time doesn't work, then the next few attempts would slowly get it off.

Wax your car once in a while it stops stuff sticking to the paint semi-permanent. It is also supposed to protect the paint from UV light.

I've used Armor All Bug & Tar Gel before, seems ok with a bit of a polish after.
