    Detailing products advice needed

    G'day fellas,

    Last week I picked up my Golf R and I'm now looking at putting together the detailing kit for it.
    The products I was using on the HSV have all but run out and I can now take this opportunity to start from scratch.

    So far my shopping list is as follows:

    • Duragloss Professional Leather System
    • Duragloss All Wheel Cleaner
    • Vikan Wheel & Arch Brush
    • Vikan Wheel Rim Brush
    • Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate
    • Speciality Brands Stoner Invisible Glass
    • Car Care Products Enthusiasts Cloth Kit

    And here's where I got kinda stuck. For the interior I picked Autoglym Interior Shampoo - Is this OK to clean the interior?

    On the HSV I followed the Meguiars 4 step process - Wash, Paint cleaner, Polish, Wax

    Are the rules still the same? I'm confused about these glaze, sealant products and where they actually fit in the process.

    For example, from my products list I'm missing a polish and a wax.

    I was thinking of going Zaino Z2 for the polish and then P21/Dodo juice wax...

    Also, I need to get a clay bar. Do I use the clay bar after every wash?!

    I went to CCP today and picked up the Nanolex Premium Paint Sealant Kit based on Pierre's recommendations.

    Really friendly guy who seemed to know his stuff quite well. Highly recommended!

    To answer some of your qn's, DMS-Dan is the best, but I will try to use my limited detailing knowledge

    Clay Bar;
    Only once every 6 months or so, longer if the car is left outside alot. You know when to use it by running your hand across the paint after washing, if it feels rough and gritty, time to claybar

    Zaino Z2;
    From what I know, this is a paint sealant, much stronger than wax at protectiong your paint. Many put wax over the top to add a "warmer" finish, the Z2 is fine by itself, but it can look a bit plastic, plus the wax becomes your sacrificail barrier.

    Stage 2+ Intercooler Carbon Intake Downpipe Swaybar DV+ Remsa.
