Spent the best part of today washing four cars and then detailing my car.
Needless to say, I'm wrecked.
Just thought I'd post up some pics and a short write up of how i went about the detail and the products I used. Mainly to show the results of the Zymol wax I used.
I'm no professional and don't expect the finish to be to the standard of that, yet I was very happy with the end result.
- I started with the usual wash to get as much dirt as possible off using a MF wash mitt and the two bucket method.
- Some Autoglym Custom wheel cleaner was used on the rims and some Autoglym Bug and tar remover for the insects from all those long highway drives. I also used a vikan soft rim brush.
- Once she was all washed, the dodo clay was pulled out and the whole car was given a thorough once over. (didn't really need this step)
- Car then washed again and dried off with a waffle weave drying cloth.
- Some duragloss Swirl mark remover was used on problem areas and then the whole car was washed and dried again.
- Wheels and tires dried and some Autobrite berry tire gel was applied to the tires.
- Windows and lights were polished with some Duragloss Nu-Glass polish followed by some Nanolex glass sealant.
- The paint was then treated with Zymol HD-Cleanse to ready it for the wax.
- And finally the car was waxed with Zymol Titanium Wax. This is the kind of wax that needs to be massaged in by hand and buffed off shortly after.
Here are the results. (sorry about my amateur camera skills)
Now just leaving the wax overnight to fully cure before i give it another wash and add some Dodo Juice Red Mist to bring out some extra gloss!
Almost all of the products used were sourced from CCP so would like to thank them for their great service and reliability.
Happy to hear what you guys think and any tips you may have.
Thanks
