    Cleaning between badges

Just curious, if any of you have tricks or advice for cleaning between the lettering of car badges?

After detailing the car, I notice build up of previous product, and its quite difficult removing it.

Wouldn't a toothbrush scratch the paint?? Any suggestions on a detailing brush, assuming they don't scratch the paint either?

If i were to debadge, how do you do that without lifting of the paint?

I wouldn't go toothbrush, as like you say it might scratch. I would try cotton buds (soft things you are not suppose to stick in your ear) with some quick detailer like DG Fast Clean & Shine. Or perhaps a soft microfibre cloth wrapped around an old credit card to give you a thin edge and then again with some QD.

Dan DMS wrote a great article for removing badges, but I cannot seem to find it. Basically heat them up, gently to soften the adhesive. then get something like floss or fishing line and draw behind the badge. this should remove the badge but probably leave residue, that can be cleaned up with some adhesive remover like AG Instant Tar & Adhesive. If there are any scuff marks or a slight change in paint tone (depending on how long they have been on) then a light polish to revive followed by your wax/sealant to protect ongoing. (Dan's was better and had pictures)

Hairdryer on low over the badge to melt the backing tape.
Then get a piece of fishing line nad "saw" left and right while pulling down from behind the top of the badge.
Then give it a wash and if there is any still stuck you could use some form of sticky removal stuff, but make sure it won't eat the paint.
