It was impulse and I couldn't wait for the mail to order so I went ahead to bunnings, returned my Ryobi and bought an AEG RO as suggested by some people here on the forum.

I tried it yesterday and omg, it actually cut my waxing time in half and the manner in which it applies wax is so even!

I'll now need to buy more wax for my car, can you recommend a wax that will work on an RO? How does one apply paste wax from a can/container onto the finishing pad? I know liquid wax is self explanatory, you just squirt it on the pad/car but I still believe the quality of wax in the paste form is still way better.

Realistically i would be only applying a sealant or wax by hand.

A wax will last 2/3 months on a daily driver, a polymer synthetic sealant about 6-12, and a nano based product 12-24 months.

Was thinking of buying a tool from the US then remembered they have different voltage over there 110v 60hz compared to 240v 50hz here. Anyone know where i can get porter cable dual action polisher in aus?

Porter Cable is not available in Australia unfortunately, I imported one several years ago and run it with a step down transformer, it works great. Last year I upgraded to Festool, if you are interested I'm happy to offload the PC to you.

I have had an OZITO buffer for about 5 years and recon i have buffed about 40 cars with it. I used to detail professionally about 8 years ago and now just do friends and family's cars. Never had an issue with it. You can get them from Bunnings for around the $150 mark.

I was given it as a gift, and i thought it would be rubbish - but i have to say that it works perfectly and has never had any issues what so ever.

it has plenty of power and the variable speed wheel on the handle.
