I know it's short notice but we have only just come on board as a sponsor...

Dan from DMS and myself (Greg from CCP) will be in Canberra over the long weekend detailing and there are a few spots left.

Pricing for a Stage 1 will be $300
Stage 2 will be $380
Stage 3 will be $510

Please leave your EOI here or PM or email Dan > info@dmsdetailing.com.au

Stage 1/2/3 etc refers to how many steps of machine polishing is required to resurrect the paint work and correct any defects.

With a stage one we machine polish with a mild compound that will correct light defects but restores gloss at the same time.

Stage two we will need to ‘cut’ harder with a more aggressive polish on the first pass to remove deeper marks. Cutting harder removes the natural gloss of the paint and can leave a matt finish, especially with dark paints. We then polish with a lighter glossing compound, bringing out more of the shine in the paint but removing minimal marks.

Stage three details can vary depending on the type of defect being corrected (scratch, previous poor machine polishing marks or water marks). Similar to a stage two but obviously with an extra step of aggressive machine correction. It is often the first stage will minimise the defect but will still require correction to remove the marks induced.

Stage four details would be for cars requiring wet sanding, not something we would do on the road as it will often require two days work and more controlled conditions.

As a guide, all details involve:
- A decontamination wash
- Clay baring of all affected areas to remove the bonded contaminants
- The required stages of machine polishing to remove defects such as swirls or scratches
- A layer of quality paint sealant to protect the finish
- Interior wipe down
- All door jambs and boot channels cleaned
- Wheels and tyres dressed
- All glass cleaned.

As a graphic example, this is a car we did on our last trip. It required a full stage two detail to correct the paint work. This service is not a wash type detail, more aimed at professional paint correction. The paint will be left like new (sadly in most cases its better than new) and should be easy for you to maintain and enjoy.
