    Arrow Calling all Brisbanites!

    Hey lads,

I've been talking with a few mates up in Brisbane, and it appears as though I may have the opportunity to come up there for about a week or so in early November to do some detailing! Ideally I'd like to be able to fill most of my days with cars to make it worthwhile, so this thread is just asking for any interest from fellow members who would like to help me get my feet off the ground and who would like some detailing done for good prices

EDIT: I'm coming up on an early Sunday morning, 1st of November, and then staying until the following Monday evening (9th November). That way I can come and smash the whole weekends out with detailing and anyone who would be able to make it during the week could still get in

EDIT: I can now do polishing as I'll have a machine to use. I'll be able to do all other detailing too - washing, clay, wax, sealant, everything on the interior.

As I said, this will be mainly to help me get my feet off the ground and get a feel for detailing on a more full-time basis. I'd hope to have at least 10 people interested, to keep me busy. So if you live around/can easily get to Brisbane and would like to support a fellow dubber and get a good clean, register your interest in this thread and we can cover all the iddy biddy details (services, availability, prices, bookings..) in PM

    Cheers!

DOUBLE EDIT: Flights are now booked for Sunday the 1st Nov and Monday the 9th Nov! I'll be available the whole time so get your bookings in guys and girls

    Hey mate,

I'd be interested. My A3 needs some attention, although I am also thinking of getting the paint work touched up. It's been neglected, i.e swirl marks, light scratches, a few chips and some fade on the bonnet. so maybe i should consider having this done first??

But let us know if ur coming.

I'm currently trying to get a machine to bring up with me to polish cars...but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get one so bear with me. If I can't then unfortunately I won't be able to polish unless someone up there has a machine I could steal lol..

EDIT: Scrap that, I will have a polisher, so minor paint corrections can now be done, provided your paint isn't thin! Hooray!

Hells yeah man.. You can do my car anyday!!

The most I've detailed my car lately is wiping the soot of the left reflector which sits just above the exhaust. Normally with my finger or an already dirty rag

Make sure you have some time for my car too!!

just to throw the idea out there, what about doing a detailing workshop for a small fee to those that attend to show them how to detail their cars, eg when to use a cut and what compound, when to clay, how not to use a buffer? Good excuse for a get together too. Another forum I was part of did a few things like this throughout the year and were very well received.

I used to be a detailer for alfa romeo in brisbane a few years back so I probably wouldn't be involved, capable detailer, bloody awful teacher.

Haha. That's a good idea mate, but I'm really not a pro..I plan to be, but that's a different story! I'll happily share my knowledge with a group of people who would be interested, but it will probably be at the pub

But by all means...if there is a decent amount of interest, I could ask someone who's getting a full detail if they wouldn't mind people watching so I can explain what I do when I do it....
