Bumpertech QLD
Does anyone have any experiences with this company? I had a small car park scrape on my rear bumper which I had fixed by these guys. The guy who did the work was a nice enough fella and seemed to know his stuff. Unfortunately it started raining as he was finishing the paint, and it dried with a whole heap of runs and spots. When he had finished, he told me that's what would probably happen and to give their office a call and they'd come and fix it. I was also not completely happy with the job as there was a patch where you could see the black bumper colour behind the red paint (even before it started raining), the paint is quite orange-peely and there are some scuffs/scratches on the door that were not there before.
I've emailed their office and will await their call/email, but having read a few bad reviews about their after sales service I am keen to hear from anyone elses experiences.
Of course, I will give them a reasonable opportunity to rectify it before I pass judgement.

I would email in with pictures of the repair and explain the situation.
If no reply after 3-4 days I would call to check/confirm email address and forward email again asking politely for a reply within 3 days.
If you do not receive any response after these your next call should be to Fair Trading (or whatever the QLD office is called)
It is a shame that some companies in the auto game give others a bad name for workmanship or service.
As another note, I would be very cautious of mobile paint repair services, working in open conditions and weather is more than difficult for any repainting and touch ups. I would always go for a quality body/panel shop

Cheers for the advice. I already emailed in photos & description on Friday. I've not received any response as yet. If I don't hear anything by this afternoon I will give them a call.
I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but you know when you just get a bad feeling about something..... I know if it was my company I would have been straight on the phone on Friday to try and sort it out, especially given how poor the job turned out.

I called them and organise for Monday to repair the work, so let's hope it all turns out well.

Keep us posted mate - would be good to know if everything turns out well.

Okay, so they came and fixed it today. The guy took the approach of repainting rather than trying to buff out the problems, which is good.
All in all, he was a decent fella and did probably the best anyone could do without a booth , but at the end of the day the result is a compromised one. it needs a cutting buff.
If it's not a near new car and you're happy with a 95% fix, then it would be fine. If you're a stickler for detail and love your car, go to a panel shop.
giving them the benefit of the doubt with the rain problems and initial job, Mobile bumper repairer gets 3.5 out of 5 stars for results, 2.5 out of 5 stars for organisation and professionalism. But I am a hard man to please.
