I have a Meguiars G220 I bought from Car Care Products about a year ago. Great little unit, that used properly with patience/technique and the correct pads and products can remove swirls and defects like a pro.

Used correctly, there is very little danger of damage with the G220 R/O unless you do something really, really stupid. Great product for the money and the amateur detailer, just get some lessons on how to use it properly, with the correct pads etc for the job at hand and you'll be very happy!!
