just used auto glym bumper care on my black trim bits. seems to have held up okay for a couple of weeks. i've washed it a few times and hasnt streaked or run. it seems to repel water and hasn't lost too much of its colour. not a bad product.

I'm currently waiting for it to rain on my car to see how this new stuff I have tried lasts. I have heard good things about it so i hope it lasts!! It's different to other "wipe on/spray on" products as this stuff you have to build up as the plastic "absorbs" it. I did my black bits twice yesterday and there are still a few little areas that need going over (they were pretty bad!).
Will let all know of the results......http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...berclean-1.jpg
Well!!!
After a couple of decent downpours since I used the autoglym stuff, everything is still black and absolutely no streaking!!
Will wait till weekend to do another application to make everything REALLY black, then we will see how long it lasts!
Four thumbs up so far for this product:biggrin::biggrin:
Thats the pro version of Autoglym bumper care. Same stuff, different package
gavs, where'd you pick that up mate?
At a local auto paint store. It's in a little shopping strip on the corner of dandenong rd (princes highway) and blackburn rd.
Thanks for that dan, tho price per litre, this worked out cheaper:biggrin: still black, tho i still haven't finished so it's still not perfect yet.
Thanks mate. I want to get the lower parts of the bumpers colour-coded down the track but I'm thinking that using some blackening stuff now will just make it hard for the paint to bond to it in a few months...
