Best product to get rid of bad odour

Need a bit of help - my wife's corolla (shameful I know, but she bought it before I met her!!) has a very bad odour as a result of some spilt milk which was allowed to sit in the car for too long. The smell seems to have penetrated into the carpet and, despite numerous shampoos has been impossible to get rid of.

Do any of you guys know of a shampoo or other product that specialises in removing these odours? I was thinking of trying Meguiars car odour eliminator or Autoglym odour eliminator, but wanted to see if any of you have any experience with these or other products.

Nilodour is pretty potent, as is some eucalyptus oil. If your after car-specific products, i'm not sure....

Ground coffee took the smell of some nasty stuff out of our fridge-freezer 2 years ago. The power got switched off while we were away for 2 weeks and the smeel was awful, defrosted meat and all sorts.

Only the coffee did it. Still using the fridge now.

OC120 would be the best. Im not sure if its avail to the public tho (trade thing?)

Happy to give you a small bottle of it which would make double/triple of its litreage if your local in Sydney, just drop me a pm sometime.

Smells like spearmint/peppermint. General purpose cleaner for cars + works well in bathrooms too LOL

I've got the Meguiars one after my dad left fishing bait on the back seat of my car overnight. Whilst it is fairly good it isn't great and i still need something to really comprehensively deep clean the seats and get rid of the stench.

    Bloody irresponsible parents!

Back OT -- I had the same problem some years ago, and really only got rid of it by pulling up the piece of carpet and underfelt stuff, and giving them both a thorough clean outside the car. Also cleaned the floorpan. It's hard work but it works

This is a good cheap solution also, hense why drug smugglers used to put bags of their product in coffee shipments, the dogs etc couldn't pick it up because of the coffee grounds!

Maccas also seems to get rid of smells also......

From the Supermarket. Brilliant stuff. You can use the whole can/bottle in a few applications if needs be and not worry about damaging anything.
