Hello everyone!

This is just going to be a short intro post, just to let you know we're around.

STC Tyres is a new, independent shop in Castle Hill (Sydney's norwest) however we do sell and ship nationally. Being independent, we are not tied into contracts with suppliers and sell only products we feel confident in. I (Nick aka Perun) have been in the industry for some 10 years, in jobs ranging from sales to product management. As a part my traineeship with Beaurepaires, I have completed a wheel alignment course and have had plenty of hands-on experience.

Out fitting and balancing equipment consists solely of Beissbarth (a Bosch company) machines, manufactured in Italy. The tyre fitting machine is a fully optioned MS 65 OR.RAC with a leverless head, which means there is minimal human involvement in the fitting/stripping process and minimal margin for error. In addition, we are certified to fit run-flat tyres.



Being the fusspot that I am when it comes to tyres, I will only sell the product I have faith in and that I would be happy to run on one of my own vehicles. I insist on testing each new brand myself, and if I am not happy how the tyre performs its intended function, I will simply not sell it. Therefore, we don't stock cheap Chinese tyres at this stage (this may change as the product improves in the coming years) and will only order them if the customer insists on it. There are other budget alternatives which perform much better for a marginally higher price. We also have access to most premium brands. Being a new business we are still in negotiations with a number of suppliers regarding supply and pricing, so some products will become available over the coming weeks.

Lastly, for VWWC members, I am happy to offer you after hours service (at the store) by appointment. So if you can't make it during the week or weekend, I'm happy to take appointments as late as 8:30pm during the week.
