Bosch Auto Parts - now online in Australia!

We have just joined as a VWW sponsor, following the launch of the new Bosch Auto Shop, which is a sales platform linking directly into our global parts catalogue. As you're probably aware, we are a major OE supplier for VAG vehicles, but offer many OE-quality parts directly to the aftermarket.

Your pricing seems to be identical to standard retails at Burson, Repco, Supercheap, etc. Will you be updating your pricing strategy in the coming months to match (or better!) the prices we can get from overseas Bosch suppliers?

For example:

Front wiper blade = $31

From a well known online retailer

Front wiper blade (Bosch) = 14GBP = $21

Once you bundle up an order, shipping works out to be $4-6 from the UK (based on my last order)

No problem, we're happy to answer this inquiry

Sure, our pricing is always under review, but we base it on the local market and not on the overseas one. If there are specific cases where the price might appear too high, send us an email via the website, or drop us a PM, and we'll look at it on a case by case basis.

Warranty and local customer service and support are always more valuable than anything else, though, and this is what we'll always offer to our customers over and above small-scale overseas vendors

We have no problem with constructive feedback. It's the best way we can refine the service we provide.

We actually supply out of our Dandenong South facility, but we don't offer pick-up at this point in time. If there is sufficient demand for this, though, then we're happy to look into it.

As it stands, we offer free air freight on all orders over $50 inc GST in value.

Just saw your full page add for the Bosch online shop in the new Wheels mag. Stands out.

My friend needed to source a new ECU (Bosch MED9) recently and im kicking myself that i didnt even think of contacting you directly to try and source through you. VW charged a lovely $2200 for it + another $1200 for fitting and coding. Do you sell the ECU's? I cant see any listed on the website.

Thanks for the feedback on the Wheels ad.

Chances are, we can assist your friend with the ECU. Please drop us an email (service.shop@au.bosch.com) with the following information (or as much of it as you can provide) and we'll follow it up:

- Make/Model of vehicle
- Month & year of production
- Engine code
- ECU Bosch part number (10 or 13-digits)
- ECU VW part number

Thanks for the offer although this happened about 6-8 weeks ago or so and a new ECU has already been fitted via VW. I was just expressing my annoyance that i didn't even think of the Bosch online shop and to contact you regarding sourcing a new ECU at the time. Silly me.

I will be sure to remember if i come across anyone else who has an ECU issue and will point them in this direction.
