    Good fun at buy all.
I'll list the cars that were there so that people who didn't attend know what to expect.

2 Mk1 Golfs, Tims GLD congerted to 1.8 K-ket and 5spd with mods(silver), and Pauls immaculate Gti Campain(metallic blue).

1 Mk2 Golf Gti no guesses who's that was.

2 Mk3 Golfs, Carlsons(not sure on spelling) nice blue (I think it was a 2L manual), as well as Shauns nice white(great color) 2L manual looking and sounding mean.

1 Mk4 Daniels nice neat standard 2L manual looking good as mk4's do in black.

1 Seat Ibiza Cupra Gti, Daves ABF powered car as always looking very tidy also in white.

And Dom and a mate of his coming along for the ride.

Good time had buy all. Turmed out a lot better than I expected, the booze bus and SS comodore added to the excitement . Next one should be good. Shame we didn't get any pictures though.

Nice work Guys. Wish I had been there. A Mk2 2 door and a Campaign together in Oz, now that I`d like to see.

It was good to meet you guys last night. Sorry couldn't join you on the boulevard - had a movie to go to.

Campaign is Helios Blue, Carl - though not so immaculate after a run to Ballarat on the backroads - try mud covered! Well the sides and rear are covered in mud; bonnet and roof clean.
There's a great hill at Rowsley - does anyone know it? Came roaring up in third - confronted by a hairpin - turned the wheel, backed off the throttle slightly, and around the corner she went - so steerable; amazing.

Anyway that was the fun. Drove back on the boring freeway through all the rain. Now have to clean it.

We should make a Golf presence at the club meets.

It was a great turnout considering the conditions...

Next time i think we should go for a "spirited" drive through the hills during the day. I have a few roads that i've been along before and in fwd's they are quite fun!

    Otherwise, i think that i need a 16v after hearing the mk2 and cupra...mmm!!

Should get some texer's on board too!

    Thanks guys!

    SEAN.

    G'day all,

It was nice to meet all of you & putting faces to names. Great bunch of blokes.
The conditions weren't that flash hot but I had a good time anyway & the SS was a bit of a highlight as well as the Ferrari, damn those engines sound horn, and the company of other Golf nuts and there nice rides.

I'll say it was pretty hard to keep up with the seater & ausgolfer on the way home. I don't think it was too much of a lack of power, as my Mk1 needs new tyres (you know what I mean wabit!)as it was scating, sliding and torque steering all over the place, especially on Yara Bvd following ausgolfer & coming onto the Eastern torque steering in third changing lanes (with the indicator on of course!)
A couple of weeks earlier I'd fitted & tuned my new parts from the states.
Autotech 270 cam, Sport tuned valve springs, cam & intermediate pulley's so it was nice to put them to good use.
I'll say there is smoother & more power!
