Fun morning guysThanks for organising it Paul. Thanks for the pics and vids everyone.
Good to see a variety of cars. Keen to get out there again!
Could someone explain the second last corner where the traffic cones divide the track - last year both sides were used but on Sunday no one used the right side. What is the rule for this please?

Yeah keep left unless going into pits.
When I first started going to happy laps 4-5 years ago they never used to do any cones, however I suspect they have their reasons... Lakeside punishes those who extend themselves too far!
Without the cones there you'd be doing that corner in 4th gear at probably 120+, bad ending of you get a bit loose... same at the bus stop and hungry. I understand why they do the cones but I would like to have a go without them.
Once I get my tune & springs I might have a crack at a time attack.
Can totally see the difference the cones made. Max speed on the straight with the cones was similar in my turbo car to without cones driving the non-turbo car.
Having said that, yesterday my tyres felt way too hot towards the end of the happy laps so I was backing off a little early on the straight. Lower pressure next time I think. Certainly learning about the car.
The VW group have never used the right lane other than to enter the pits. Some of happy lap groups use both to stage up to drag down the straight side by side but we don't do that.
