Just want to take the opportunity to say that if I in anyway freaked him out, I apologise, and feel crappy.
Mate, you were behind him for about 5 seconds and by the looks of things he already had his hands full before entering that corner.
At no stage was your driving intimidating and you followed the rules to the letter, which is far more than I can say for some others out there today.

Hope so.
I could see how much he was checking his mirrors though. Can't help but think that that was costing him some concentration.
the high powered rwd bmw should have let the R8 overtaking him on the main straight, then the session would have kept going.
BUT i understand ego is not the easiest thing to let go especially for high powered car owners on the main straight. it's happened many times before (a car or two right on the tail thru the corners for a lap or two or three, once on the main straight is on you forget about track etiquette..
the vwwatercooled HL regulars know and follow this etiquette.. but it probably takes a new comer a few sessions or a really hard lesson to learn..

He wasn't doing anything wrong. I would assume that when we got the straight he would have let me by. I was a bit up in his grill behind him, but it was only for like 3 corners. He didn't get a CHANCE to let me by.
