Yeah last time both awd non euros played up so I do agree with limiting it to euros. (Numbers permitting)
But I'm also open to allowing certain rwd cars like from the 86 brz club who have proven good manners on the track and follow the rules.

Happy to have him passenger or even co-drive in your car.
We have just had too many issues and near misses with non Euro, non FWD/AWD drivers to risk the continuation of the event and QR had quite a frank conversation with Gavin and Myself after the last event to that effect.
The downshift one has a mix of p platers all the way up to 1200HP skylines.
The SAU event is a more mid range balanced event which could be suitable.
Anyone insured with RACQ? What does the PDS say about happy laps? Would like to know I'm covered before committing to this

HL would be classed as "off road" activity and hence no cover.
this is one of the reasons why we want to ensure everyone plays by the rules (no overtaking in the corners unless clearly acknowledged by hand or indicator signal, if in doubt overtake on the main straight only) to prevent any kind of car to car contact.
a fast driver may feel comfortable overtaking everywhere to gain a pole position or something as in a "real race", BUT other participants or newbies may get surprised and sometimes uncomfortable.
if one car overdriving it and comes off the black stuff or gets in contact with other car, ALL of us have to end it (if a car comes off in its first lap after 2 mnts, that is it) and don't get enjoy the 30mnts.
having said all the above, if u follow the rules and keep up the pace, give way on the main straight by staying left and lift off the gas if a car or two or three or 10 have been right behind you through the corners and they have indicated a desired pass.
follow the more experienced track drivers, it is much more enjoyable and much safer than driving on the mt nebo / mt mee / etc.
