I'm definitely interested...
Thanks for the info Club Racer. I'm in negotiations with QR regarding costs etc.
They have a lot on at this time of year so I'm waiting for them to get back to me.
It's going to be great to get out on the short track with such quick cars...
I'm definitely interested...
Hey Anton
I would be up for it too and I think I work just up the road from you if your at Eatons Hill, I guess I could bring my old 911 too? You know just to splash some oil around on the track.
Age
I'm at the E/H age100...and the 911 would definitely be welcome.
Just remember slow in fast out with the 911. Or it's spins'ville.
trust me, the DTC track will make you spin. Spin too far and you get wet!!
Some VW, some Lotus
How are we going with guys any update...I am keen.
Hi guys...I've been away for work. I have all the pricing from QR. Will post it tonight.
keen.....char
Keen for spin at lakeside.
OK...Lakeside charge a flat $2000 for the use of the Short track. This is for a 12:30pm to 4pm slot. An additional $20 per driver needs to be paid for a Queensland Motorsport Clubman License too (if you’ve got one already, no cost)
So 3.5 hrs of driving time = 210 minutes. Make each run an even minute...that means that there is the potential for a maximum of 210 runs.
I was thinking of....25 participants
$2000/25=$80+$20 (for licence) = $100
That gives everyone at least 8 laps.
The group would be broken up into 5 groups of 5. Each group would undertake consecutive runs completing all their allotted laps...this method would limit down time and let everyone get their laps in. Those waiting for their laps can help get the cars staged and ready. Timing equipment is still being negotiated as there are a few options available.
The other option is to reduce the number of participants, this would result in more laps for the group and up the price.
Let your thoughts be known...acceptable?
