Suggestion was to make the run to Birdwood tomorrow our cruise for the month... given that our normal cruise clashes with the Volkfest and a number of people are putting their cars into that event.

So who's meeting where for the cruise up?
There's a few VWs meeting at 9am at Taylor Blend cafe on Stonyfell Rd.
The BMW drivers are meeting at TTP but anyone heading up is welcome to join their cruise also.

OK here's the details for the cruise location/options (just dug these up from the Eurofest thread):
VW's (and any others):
Meet at 9am at Taylorblend cafe on Hallet Rd, Stonyfell.
2 possible routes - one for drivers and one for people with families on board (who prefer not to go through all the twisties).
Drivers Route: Depart 9:15am travel vai Greenhill Rd, Ashton, Basket Range, Lobethal, Cuddlee Creek and Paracombe to Gumeracha (10:30am meet point @ Rocking Horse) and drive together to Birdwood.
Family "Friendly" Route: Depart Stonyfell at 9:30am and drive via Summertown, Balhannah, Lobethal to Gumeracha (10:30am meet point at Rocking Horse) and then drive together to Birdwood.
BMW drivers club organised cruise:
BMW drivers club are meeting at 9am at TTP in the carpark behind McDonalds. Departure is 9:30am sharp to drive up to Birdwood if anyone from North wants to join their drive they've extended the welcome. Urge anyone going on this cruise to respect the "rules" for this group so that people are welcome to tag along on future events. There's going to be a lot of cars on the road so this will be more of a leisurely cruise than spirited drive through the hills so please keep this in mind.

Are there many people intending on going/entering into Volkfest this weekend? Is it worth organising a cruise either in or out of the event for those not entering? That way people can catch up, have a coffee and take a look at the cars plus have a bit of a drive.

OK. Here's a suggestion for those wanting to drive into Volksfest from Northern suburbs.
Meet point at McDonalds @ Modbury (Tea Tree Plaza) and travel via the hills to Elder Park.
Suggest 9am meet for 9:30am departure... arriving at Volksfest by around 11am.
