It's a good event
Just letting everyone know of the Bug In coming to Southern Tasmania for the first time in 38 years. It runs from Good friday the 6th of April till the 9th. Starting with a BBQ on the friday evening and on saturday, a day out at Baskerville, our local and very challenging racetrack. Out there we are running a motorkhana, hillclimb and novelty events. Promises to be a top day topped off with a river cruise on the magnificent Derwent River that night. On Sunday we will be having the show and shine event followed that night with a presentation dinner.
Unlike the name might suggest, this event is not only for early aircoolers and Watercoolers might outnumber them on the weekend. We have a fair few people coming over from the big island to Tas for this event.
It promises to be a full on Easter weekend of fun, sociallising and looking!
For more information until I learn to post the event details and itinery please feel free to ask away. I will try and answer any questions. (or PM me?)

A BIG contingent from SA is coming over, yours truly is bringing the T4, not the Golf. Another T4 + T5 will be with me!
This will be a great week!!
Maris
Interested. I will be in touch!
It will be the largest VW weekend that Tasmania has and probably ever will see.
So, if any locals miss out, don't wait for the next one cause it has taken 37 years to get this one. It would be good to have as many watercoolers there as we can. And as many forum members representing our great community here. Surely the watercoolers can hose the aircoolers at the hillclimb!!

It will be interesting to see if it's bigger than the 50th anniversary cruise inNov 2003.
Maris
It will be Maris. The 50th was unforgetable.
We have over 40 entries from the mainland I think. Its good to see the enthusiasts all getting together. The saturday night river cruise will be great. I am setting up the friday night barbecue.

I am hoping to get along to the Baskerville Day. What reqirements are there for competition Andrew?
Maybe put a for sale sign on my girl at the show'n'shine too...
Well Mikinoz, you need to get a registration form off me I think to send off or ring the phone numbers on page 1 of this thread. Need to do it very soon mate. They might take bookings on the day. To do the hillclimb will require the usual safety gear that you run normally.
I havent entered the hillclimb bit yet but I will be on the day.
Thats providing that the dealers fix my warranty major miisfire!!! (coilpack, I reckon...)
