    #f*$kgad wrap up!

GAD this year was a little different. It still involved a road trip, VAG cars, good weather, unorganised males in revved up cars and a lot of beer.

I first attended German Auto Fest in 2010, GAF was awesome, a new show to us, meeting new people and exploring a new city with my mates. Since then it has been a awesome yearly adventure up the Hume to the Nations capital to see my mates, drive the cotter and drool over Porsche's.

Last year ill admit I didnt feel as welcome at the show. The VW club doesnt really care about the newer generation of young punks in watercooled cars with ill fitting wheels and loud noise pipes. But if you have a beaten old 70's bug that leaks oil, has a steering wheel cover and and miss matched wheels you're their best mate. Dont get me wrong I love aircoolers and own a '59 bug. So im more than happy to just observe the show and chat with my mates and talk to old dudes with nice mercs or 2002 BMW's.

This year was all about everything but cars: bikes, skateboards and how much fine food we could jamm down our gobs.

    19 mexicans
    2 cenny coast bums
    2 Newy numb skulls
    2 wagga weirdos
    2 sydney flogs
All piled into their dodgy 4 banger, 6 banger, turbo TDI, vag wagon hwy haulers and got down or up to Canberra.

The friendly banter, battles, hwy pulls, skid comps, drinking games, shower sausages and ragging bum slaps is whats its all about. It so happens that we somehow have meet through this forum and do have did once own a Volkswagen that also has a radiator.

Im sitting behind this keyboard thinking i normally do a full depth report but this time really you just had to be there to see it all unfold.

Lanky is a madddd dog photo man and ill leave you with these two!

Thanks to all the Canberra crew we love ya. Foff, Linc, Seb and Jed etc....

I also have a sad point from the weekend Sam's Mk4 was broken into Saturday night in Braddon behind the food vans. Two BMX's were stolen. So if you see a black Fit with chrome 4 piece bars or a Gold BSD with pink grips going cheap get in contact please!
