    Reversing Camera

is there any wiring ready to go in place at all for an OEM (or otherwise) reversing camera in the boot lid of a late (MY12 say) CC?
Many OEM kits seem to come with a long loom that would be a complete pain no doubt to run?. and the after market (license plate light not badge) cameras seem to rely on running video to an aftermarket monitor?

Guess the short question is how easy / hard is it to fit a reversing camera? really miss it after 4yrs in a Mazda with it standard

    thx

Unless a feature was installed at the factory, the wiring is not there.

You will need to run the cable from the head unit to the boot. Non trivial job due to having to remove trim, push cable under carpet etc but technically not that difficult.

Looking into a Chinese OEM-style camera setup, keep an eye on this thread if you are interested...

    kamold is on the money.

I would still recommend going the OEM solution though - the quality is first rate and it integrates perfectly into the car.

Also a lot less likely to cause headaches both at install time and down the track.
