As for TDI with 4motion (and Interlagos rims) as an official option (or in perfect world, standard) I'd jump on that too - just crazy diesel misses out on that option (you'd have to think better suited right? If it was SUV, it'd be a forgone conclusion).

As you say, at least I can consol myself that I didn't have to put up with the previous butt-ugly Lakevilles. So glad I didn't buy the 1st edition CC (almost did), this 2nd edition CC far better for both value and looks.

Hopefully it won't be too much longer for me to fawn over my one soon. Will definately share my experiences with the forum.
May I ask (if you don't mind sharing, that is) what was the driveaway price for your TDI (including the options you selected)?

Also, which dealer did you order it from and how long were you told it would take from signing on the dotted line to you physically driving your brand spanking new CC away from the dealership (no doubt with an enormous grin from ear to ear LOL)

I'm looking to purchase a similarly specced TDI as yours, less Dynaudio Premium Audio & towbar. Colorwise, I'm looking at Candy White, or perhaps Black Oak Brown.

As for $1,500 for the towbar option ..... I understand that it's an electronically extendable/retractable towbar but value for money wise..... I'd say the jury is out on that one.

There will definitely be one hell of a grin on my face when I go to pick it up - probably so big I'll have trouble fitting my grin through the door when I get to sit in my new baby!

Because I'm a member of the Law Institute of Victoria I got a fleet discount well worth obtaining lol. Because it is fleet pricing, which is technically confidential, I won't disclose here but it made a good impact. At standard drive away, I understand it would have been in 70K region, whereas with fleet discount and my own bargaining I got somewhere in lowish 60K region - rounding to nearest 10K (sorry if that's a little to vague, but I think you get the idea without me giving anyway our trade secrets). My trade-in price was however lower than commercial price, but what with the combined discounts I still think got a fair deal.

My dealer was Massaro Volkswagen here in Gippsland, but I'd only recommend talking to Dale as one of his bosses didn't impress me at all (tried to renegotiate the deal after it was done, a big no no with me! You sign the contract, no backies after that - for either party).

My $1.5K tow bar goes well with my $500 mud flaps, but since Dale cut me some attractive numbers I wasn't going to sweat the small stuff (despite the obvious profit margin - but then he doesn't set the prices for these dealer fitted items, that from higher up).

I haven't followed up with Dale on hard delivery dates, as I figure it arrives when it arrives (until then I'm still driving my Golf TDI, which is still damn good to drive) but it was reckoned either Feb or Mar when we were doing the deal. As long as I get one, I'm happy.

White is the obvious choice in terms of value (metallic paint certainly doesn't cost the list price), but I like blue hence Night Blue for me, and I didn't want to have a hard time trying to find it in the car park (given White is the fleet car colour of choice). The Black Oak Brown would be better at hiding light dirt, but its such a personal choice that there is no better judge than yourself (just be happy with whatever you select, because you're stuck with it lol - my reason for going the Dynaudio despite my questionable hearing!).

I know that question wasn't directed at me but I recently put a deposit on:

    125TDI MY13
    White
    Sunroof as only option
$55,900 driveaway from Barloworld in Moorabbin/Melbourne with no corporate/fleet discount.

The car should be at the docks on the 20th of January I'm told with 10-12 days for clearance work.

As for the rims on the diesel, I don't like at all and I actually couldn't option them up or pay extra to get the V6 wheels which is fine with me, as a friend of mine is a wheel and trye wholesaler who is happy to take my wheels and sort out the difference with whatever option I go for.

Overall, I believe I got a good deal considering that I had also put a deposit on a GTI and that price was supposed to be based on getting 2 cars. The finance for the GTI didn't get approved but the CC remained at that price so no complaints from me.

Congrats hadrami. The new CC TDI is pretty well stocked even without adding from the small options list (and the more options, the more likely you'll hit the higher stamp duty - which definitely hurts!), and that price is pretty decent since list price is $62,873 drive away with those options (according to carsales.com.au).

You are far better off getting different rims aftermarket anyway - more choice, far better price (no stamp duty for starters) - so wise choice. I think dealers will only change rims that aren't on options list if he can find two buyers willing to swap (at least that was the case when I ordered my Golf and I was offered the GTI rims, because another guy was going to get his own rims put on, hence spare set for sale - although at $2K I declined). Guessing ordering them through spares not straightforward.

Love to hear you initial impressions after a week or two in your new CC, if you can post 'em.

Don't really need the driver assistance package, and the only other option was self parking. I mean if you can't park with a reverse camera and parking sensors then perhaps you shouldn't be driving

The rims I can choose are here Products

Any opinion on which one would look better?

    I like the BAYTON WHEELS
    AUDI - VW - MERCEDES
    19X8.5 MATT BLACK
5X112 42P, but it's always a highly personal choice. I do note that black rims with candy white paint tend to work well together, there is a thread here on this forum discussing this. You could go white rims but brake dust would be a pain in the arse.

19" rims would mean a firmer ride though (less rubber to cushion) but depends on how you like your feedback - would give a sportier feel.

As for the "driving Miss Daisy options" lol, the ones I must have were the climate seats (comfort) and the adaptive cruise (my right leg is weaker than my left due to spinal injury, so makes it easier for me in city traffic). Everything else was simply because it was there, and you can only factory option once (the only thing I excluded was the sun roof, because I just don't like 'em). Walnut trim aside (looks nice) I wouldn't really worry about their absence.

If I had to choose, I'd go for the AUDI RS8 SPY BLACK in 18X8. Anything bigger would mean a pretty rough ride over the kind of roads you're likely to drive on in Australia (well, at least the "loose filling finders" we have here in Perth that is ). Oh, and I'd go for Matt Grey if available.

I haven't yet seen any rims in silver which look good with a Candy White CC, with the exception of Interlagos. They remind me of turbines which IMO goes well with a luxury/sport sort of feel to the car.

One of the perks I get from work is provision of a fully maintained lease vehicle for my exclusive use. At the end of each lease period, I get to pick and choose a new vehicle from a company approved list. The lease on the vehicle I'm currently driving ends this year so I've been doing some forward planning.

For me this time around, my shortlist came down to Volkswagen CC TDI, Audi A5 Sportback 2.0 TDI, or BMW F30 320d Luxury Line. VW CC ticked all the boxes for me (especially with the 2013 update!!) and pipped the others bang-for-buck wise.

I really would like to avoid putting in my order for a CC too late because it would mean handing my current vehicle in and potentially spending months driving a company provided POS rental(which probably smells funny and has unexplainable stains ) until the CC comes in.

I figured I'd try to time my order for the CC to minimise the wait in between cars.

That's why I love the Interlagos too lol - especially since I'm such a aviation geek

Agree that 19" rims come at a ride quality disadvantage, but then some actually like that firm feedback. To each their own.

Recent as in 2 weeks ago, should be receiving it soon hopefully.

What exactly is the 2013 update? If you mean free satnav and reverse camera then I believe the ones preceding MY13 also had them, perhaps not MY12 but pretty sure MY12.5 did. Maybe someone can confirm.
