Ok, well, I decided that I had to find out the proper name for the 'fan' wheels...they're called 'Interlagos'. On the spec sheet, you're apparently NOT able to order them with a TDi (yeah, right), although you can order the:

    18" Thunder's

    or the 19" Sagitta's

Personally, I think the Interlagos wheels are the mutts! Oh, and the TDi ones are called 'Daytona's'

I think VW should rename them the "FAN" wheels - that would upset the advertising executives

I can just see a salesman losing it at some point..."Look, they're called Interlagos wheels, NOT FAN WHEELS OK?!".

If I ever speak to a dealer about the CC i'm going to make sure I say Fan wheels as often as possible hehe.

dealer = "sir, they... are... called...... INTERLAGOS"

you = "what are? the FAAAN wheels"

I reckon the Fan's will be amongst the hardest in the world to clean though!

And here's another thought, they're actually directional - as in they're rotating in such a way as, if they were in fact a fan, they would be blowing air out, rather than in.....if you get my meaning?!

The correct way for wheels to vent for brake cooling is by drawing air out through the wheel. These FAN wheels must be awesome for that.

Hmmm...those Interlagos wheels do look good!
I wonder if you can order an R36 with those as a direct swap?

It'd be even better if they were available in 19".

Check out the wheel choices on the link. Plenty available but BIG dollars
