ACC fault - electromagnetic interference

Hey guys,
today the ACC in my VW CC stopped working.
It gives ACC Error! on the dash, together with an exclamation mark.

I checked with VCDS and it gives the following:

As a general rule, an isolated snippet of an autoscan is not very useful.
Please post the full autoscan for context.
Possibly something electrical such as low battery voltage or another consumer causing issues for the radar.

My apologies. I only saved that bit. I will do a full scan this afternoon and post the result.

The issue disappears after ignition restart and recurs after ~1-10km.

Hmm voltage looks good.
I'd probably start with just unplugging the radar and checking the pins and connector for any corrosion or damage.
Clean with contact cleaner.
If it persists would have to look at the relay and fuse for the radar.

I was going to give that a shot but it seems the front bumper has to come off to access the radar connector. Is that correct?

You can just take the centre part of the grill out. No need to take the whole bumper off.
In fact you can just undo the top screws and the ones at the front and then pull it out enough while leaving the bottom connected and get access to it

Thanks. I was planning on removing the grill tomorrow but I went on a long drive today (~200km) and the cruise control worked flawlessly.

I remember now that the radar cruise stopped working the morning after a car wash. Maybe the car wash was too aggressive with the water jet and some water got into the connector, and it has now dried out?

Would give it an inspection and clean regardless.
