Thanks llyodus67,
Interestingly I just paid more for a used one on ebay LOL. So I will pretend I didn't see your post
Its a black one that says pro pack with support left to April 25 which apparently can be transferred over.

Odbeleven
White one is version one and only works with android phones
Black one is version two and works with both Android and iPhone. These are the hardware, the software is downloaded to your phone and everything is done through your phone once the device is plugged into your odb port on your vehicle.

No worries,
Is it one of those things I do need to worry about if it keeps coming up?
So I need to remove the whole grill to check the mounting? Is it hard to get out and back in after? I just live in fear that I will break something or lose something and/or create a rattle that will never go away lol
To give an example how cursed I am.... I tried to swap over the little parker lights to LED ones after much frustration trying to work out why I could not reach them, my brother comes along and removes the other rubber headlight bung and there it is
The LED's would only light up for a few seconds and turn off, so I went back to the original globes.. which I had killed one so had to repurchase. The white puller stalk came off when the globe was in the headlight, no one had needle nose pliers, I nearly lost the tiny globe in the headlight itself. Argh! What I thought would be 10 minutes took about 2 hours and I still didn't get anything LED
**Update**
Just got back from recalibration.... In a nut shell...
Initially they were confused as the mirror was not reflecting the laser and double checked the sensor as it was not giving any errors.
Turns out... after resetting up, the sensor was so far out of alignment it was shooting the laser pointer on the wall behind the grid.
He was bewildered that the device was not bringing up any errors. They won't certify the work though as they believe the device is faulty as it is not registering any alignment errors. So will drive and see.
He was saying if I replace the sensor it may also rectify the issue? I think he said the brand is TWR? Though I have to buy a new device as it has to be coded to my car? Is this correct as I think they are $$$ or can I get one from a wrecking yard or any other options?
Thanks
Pete
That sounds like good news!
I would not worry too much about it not logging an error; those units are based on the TRW Autocruise system, which was first released in 2004 with the Phaeton; while they have been upgraded over the years, the diagnosis in them and are nowhere near as advanced as the current gen stuff.
As long as it drives well now, you should be all good.
But if you do end up needing a unit, I have a spare 3AA 907 567 A module, PM me, and I can send you the details.
You don't need to buy new units for these; you just need to code and align. Unlike the newer stuff, these don't have VIN matching or component protection.

Thanks MIG!
I will let you know how I go, will give it a run on a highway and see what happens. I will keep fingers crossed!
Good to know that you don't need to VIN match, as that's what the guy was saying that VIN matching is required etc.

Pete
