Opti-Coat VS Clear Coat Failure

This test was conducted over a 2 year period on a vehicle with failing (or failed!) clear coat.

Now, obviously not every car with clear failure can be saved. It's not uncommon to see the clear peeling off in sheets which is well beyond saving. But in this case, we can display how Opti-Coat will protect even the worst factory paintwork after 2 years.

If the clear is failing then it's beginning to separate from the color or base coat. Applying Opti-Coat to the clear may seem logical but the clear will continue to separate regardless. I'm not implying you shouldn't give it a try but Opti-Coat will take on the characteristics of the surface it's applied to.
