On a serious note though - what are typical values after the modification? I think APR claim 189kW on a stage 1 mod...
Excellent spotting on the colours not matching. Guess i was too busy to pick that up. Surely it is obvious though that our results are the green lines though? I will fix the colour miss match up.

This is the legit original dyno graph. As Tim states below. You need to make the graphs look pretty for the average consumer and in brochures that are handed out to the public. The results are the same.

I should also mention APR is an American company. I have never seen there claimed results make what they say. They also claim power at the engine. Not at the wheels on a roller dyno. Cheap Hub dynos dont count when 95% of the industry uses roller dynos.

most tuners should see between 160-170kw at the wheels for a car with intake and downpipe so the figure above is up there. It does vary a lot from dyno to dyno though so who knows. The figures arent easy to compare unless theyre side by side.

If you minus the drivetrain loss from 189kw its about 155ish at the wheels.

This^ This is how competitors in the industry get along. 95% of the time Tim and i will agree with each others comments. Different state, different company. Different products.

Just a thought, maybe it would be a good idea to advertise the power rating as "at the wheels."

Also, does BPS run an AWD dyno

    Good idea Clay.

The graph was more done for a brochure to quickly and easily show the gains that come from our tunes.

Yes BPS have an AWD dyno. So FWD cars are measure at the front wheels and AWD cars at all 4 wheels.

Yes just being a picky marketer

I love the idea of your touch pad. Does it plug into the port under the steering wheel?
And, when it reverts to standard (dealer service friendly) is it a bit-perfect copy of the original individual car scan?

haha, someone had to do it.

Your spot on. The OBDII port on the right under the steering wheel. When you switch back to the factory tune it 100% loads and reverts back to the factory tune from VW.

So.... will this infact tune a MK6 GTI straight from the OBD straight up? Or do you have to crack open the ECU to enable.

We are a few weeks away from being able to do it purely via OBDII
