OK here goes, I don't want this to be seemed as anti flash tune/custom tune. I am sure a custom tune will deliver the best HP/Torque performance gains, but at what $ cost? What I am trying to say, for the tuning box that for a lot less $ you can get 95% of the performance upgrade of a custom tune. Without the hassle of ECU removal, bench flash and warranty issues. There certainly seems to be a lot of negativity towards tuning boxes here in Aus. Whereas in Europe, where there is much more diesel tuning than here, it is an excepted practice.. Maybe because here in Aus,we are still influenced by petrol turbocharged tuning rather than diesel.

Having had four petrol cars chipped/flashed over the years, two of which were absolutely terrible and two were great, not naming names. To having two diesel tuning boxes that have both been great. Performance and economy improvements.

For those that are interested have a look at Briskoda for all the positive views re tuning boxes.

Diesel tuning boxes have come on a long way over the last couple of years with different tunes available in one box. Keep an open mind.

I hope that the late model TDI owners will do.

So, it worked for you, maybe you were lucky and few others were lucky as well and shared their luck in the forum?
    But, that's unfortunately a very small example/sample/test.
How would you like if the health organisations had tested a new flu vaccine on 2 people and 2 out of 2 had no adverse affects? After which they'd say, "yes people the new flu vaccine is a success, it's safe to use".
    I would run.
